Examples
You can build expressions containing the keywords "and," "or" and "not," and/or group words with parentheses. For example:
Search for: information retrieval
This "Search" finds documents containing the phrase "information retrieval" or the words "information" or "retrieval."
Search for: information or retrieval
This "Search" finds documents containing either the word "information" or "retrieval."
Search for: information and retrieval
This "Search" finds documents containing both words "information" and "retrieval."
Search for: information not retrieval
This "Search" finds documents containing the word "information" but not the word "retrieval."
Search for: information not retrieval and web
This "Search" finds documents containing the word "web," plus "information" but not the word "retrieval."
Search for: web*
This "Search" finds documents containing words starting with "web."
